A former member of the Alliance military, Clint left the organization and became a mercenary after several successful campaigns "purging" resistance groups.

Realizing his skills could be more profitable working as a freelancer for private corporations, Clint accepted many dangerous missions involving the assassinations of high ranking executives and banking officials.

On a recent mission, Clint was selected to infiltrate the Shin syndicate and "remove" the head boss from power.

In the process he met with Jin Kusanagi and they would eventually form the team "Alpha Squad".

A descendant of a long line of samurai warriors, Jin's family became heavily involved with organized crime after western influence transformed Japanese culture.

Continuing to practice their art, the Kusanagi family was known in the underground as some of the greatest warriors in the world.

Their prowess in combat caught the attention of the Shin syndicate, a ruthless crime ring where members rise in promotion from assassinating higher ranking members who disobey orders from the leader, "Otosama".

The syndicate was infiltrated by Clint Asher, who killed several officials. It was at that moment where Jin made a decision in the heat of combat to join Clint and turned on his associates.

No one knows why Jin betrayed the organization, but he now travels the world as a member of Alpha Squad with a hidden purpose.

In the ruined remains of New York, Lynx grew up with several abandoned children scavenging for food. Routinely, Alliance forces would enter into the city and kill dozens of adults suspected of being part of a resistance movement against the government. These incursions were called "Purges".

Lynx grew up hating the Alliance, as any paternal figure he could identify with was murdered by the organization. His hate subsided in his later years as he reasoned that no matter how hard he fought, no matter what leaders were chosen to represent the people, the overarching power structure of the Alliance was integrated into every aspect of civilization.

Not wanting to become a "citizen-slave" of inner city life, Lynx contracted the skills he had learned from a life on the street to anyone.

He is currently a member of Alpha Squad, citing mutual benefit and profit.

One day Lackey became inspired by the exploits of one of the world's greatest mercenary groups. He immediately decided that he wanted some action in his life, some adventure. Using his life's savings, he had a special suit of armor based on Alliance soldier design built for him.

He sought out Alpha Squad and randomly appeared out of nowhere in several of their missions, often botching what would have been perfect operations.

Currently Lackey is undergoing an initiation period, taking on tough jobs such as Operation "Human Shield" and taking point on the harshest of missions.

With the ever increasing paperwork generated by clients interested in Alpha Squad's services, Amanda was hired as secretary for the team.

Amanda organizes all of the contracts, prepares all of the mission briefings, and generates intelligence data for each case.

Incidentally, I hear she also has a twin sister...
